Let me begin by saying that I am extremely excited about serving as principal of  W. A. Perry and I look forward to working with the entire learning community in an effort to increase student achievement.

Our theme for 2009 – 2010 is; The 3 Rs: Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships. 

 It is our intention to combine The 3 Rs with the district’s focus on literacy to:

1. Increase our students reading levels.
   
2. Increase the number of students scoring basic and above on the PASS test in all core content areas.
   
3. Create an atmosphere of one at W. A. Perry, internally and externally.

We at W. A. Perry Middle School are extending to all of our stakeholders a standing invitation to visit both our website and especially our school site, as we take on the opportunity to help our young people prepare for high school and life in society. 

Again, I truly am excited and I look forward to serving W.A. Perry Middle School and the entire Richland One community this school year.
